This robust TI-25MXT Wall Thickness Gauge measures through paint and coatings via ultrasound and is ideal for the use on materials such as steel and other metals, glass, ceramics, plastics and many others.
The TI-25MXT housing is made of extruded aluminium and its control panel is sealed and resistant to water and petroleum products, making it the perfect tool to resist demanding industrial and production plant conditions. Furthermore, measurements by the means of ultrasound allow to access locations that are only accessible from one side or difficult to reach areas.

To be able to measure the thickness of coated or painted materials reliably & accuratly, two easily switchable measurement modes give the TI-25MXT the ability to cancel out the layer thickness: the Pulse-Echo mode and the Echo-Echo mode:
*Pulse-Echo mode for uncoated materials: Measuring range: 0.63 - 914.4 mm (depending on the test head and material):
This mode determines the wall thickness and checks large areas for flaws.
*Echo-echo mode (multiple echo) for measurements by coating: Measuring range: 2.54 - 25.4 mm and a maximum coating of 1.9 mm:
This mode allows for the coating layer thickness to be automatically determined and cancelled out by the device. The measured value for the substrate is immediately displayed, without the need for complicated conversion calculations.
