The TI-007DLX Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge has the same features as the TI-007X with the additional data memory for 10,000 readings. The measured values can be stored in 40 stacks of 250 measured values each and transferred to a computer via the included USB cable. A software is no longer needed in this case, the device is recognized by the computer as a drive, so that the data can be easily exported by drag-n-drop. The data is stored in a comma-separated .csv format, allowing easy further processing of the data.
The TI-007DLX is an ultrasound material thickness gauge with very high precision and is therefore particularly suitable for high-resolution measurements on thin metals and plastics. Thanks to the sealed extruded aluminum housing, the TI-007DLX is not only suitable for laboratory applications, but also harsh industrial and production environments.
On steel, the TI-007DLX offers a range of 0.15 -25.4 mm when using the standard probe with deceleration tip. In Echo-Echo (E-E) mode, the material thickness gauge automatically removes coatings so that only the remaining material thickness is measured. For thicker materials, the device automatically switches to interface echo mode (I-E). Since plastics have completely different characteristics than metals, the user has access to special plastic mode (PLAS). In conjunction with an optionally available graphite retard tip (item X-633-0000), an adjustment for the measurement of thin plastics is also possible.
For optimum evaluation of the measured data, this material thickness gauge is also equipped with a difference mode (DIFF) and an alarm mode with programmable setpoints. The difference mode gives you, after determining a nominal value during the measurement, the ± difference between the nominal value and the measured wall thickness. In alarm mode, the operator sets maximum and minimum values and receives visual feedback from the front-mounted LEDs to see if the readings are in the desired range.
It is also possible to use the TI-007DLX with single element probes. Depending on the material and probe, the measuring range can be extended up to 932mm.
