The TI-007X is especially designed for high-resolution measurements on thin metals and plastics.
Thin materials are measured with the single-element probe and delay tip. For the measurement of thicker materials, the ultrasound wall thickness gauge automatically switches from echo-echo mode (E-E) to the interface-echo mode (I-E). As to the the measurements of plastics, the plastic mode (PLAS) can be selected while using a graphite delay-tip (Art. X-633-0000).
In addition, the TI-007X offers the possibility of a difference mode (DIFF) with which a nominal value can be set. The device calculates then the ± difference between the nominal value and the measured wall thickness.
The TI-007x can also be used in combination with single element contact probes can also be used for an extention of the measurement range up to 923mm (depending on material and probe type). The housing is made of extruded aluminum housing and is sealed to resist demanding industrial production conditions.
