The MAX-II Bolt Tension Monitor is designed for precision measurement of fasteners up to 30 m /100 ft in length. It incorporates all of the great features of the original MiniMax unit, with improved features, hardware, speed and range. The MAX II is designed for use in a wide range of industrial and lab applications.

The new MAX-II Bolt Tension Monitor enables you to accurately monitor bolt connections by ultrasonically measuring the elongation of your bolts.

This measurement is achieved by determining the change in the transit time of an ultrasonic shock wave along the length of the fastener, as the fastener is tightened by any mechanical method. The MAX II then interprets this time measurement into a given quantity of time(nanoseconds), elongation, load, stress, or %strain while applying a load on the fastener.

Using a variety of processing and automation, the MAX II reduces operator error. With built in data recordation and supporting DakView utility software for Windows PC & MAC OSX, the MAX II offers an easy to use and reliable solution to accommodate the most difficult bolting applications.

The MAX-II uses a principle that is by far the most sophisticated system to measure and monitor bolt stress in assembly applications.
Moreover the Max II permits you to supervise your bolts in certain intervals and monitor the quality of your bolt connections over time.

The MAX-II is equipped with the new "Auto Correlation" function that aids you to optimize transducer placement.

The new large QVGA sunlight readable color display and the new calibration function, make the device very easy to use.
